BETUZ RATED THE BEST PERFORMING UNION BY THE LABOUR COMMISSIONER 19/02/2017

Labour Commissioner, Mr. Chanda Kaziya has congratulated the BETUZ leadership for the clean and up to date financial records that he always receives at his office. He also couldn't hold his excitement in expressing the outstanding corporate image BETUZ has exhibited over the years.

The commissioner also took advantage of the opportunity to remind all Unions present to take seriously the provisions of the law as they deliberate in their operations. He called out that the presence of Labour Officials in over forty five (45) districts across the country need to collaborate with unions in order to help meet the needs of the workforce employed by the government and similar.

Speaking in his Closing remarks at the BETUZ AGM, the commissioner noted with concern the fragmentation of the labour movement as a factor that leads to weakening the voice. He has since wished success in the plans of the amalgamating of teacher unions urging them to first consider the plight of teachers across the country.
