Central Province  is made up of 11 districts namely Itezhi-tezhi, mumbwa, Chibombo, Chisamba, Kabwe, Kapiri-Mposhi, Mkushi, Serenje, Chitambo, Luano and Ng'abwe.

PROGRAMMES

 

+ WORKERS EDUCATION

Provincial executive annually conduct workers education in Kabwe District and Chisamba. Topics covered include the importance of having a union at a place of work and conditions of service.

 

+ Building Material Loan

We as BETUZ in Central province have managed to recruit more members to our union through this life changing project. The Building Material Loan project has seen our members build houses and continue to encourage other teachers to join the union to enjoy many benefits.

 

+ International Women's Day, World Teachers Day, Global Action Week, International Literacy Day, 16 Days of Gender Activism, World's Aids Day, Independence Day & Labour Day

We continue to celebrate the importance of these commemoration dates when due across the province.

 

+ Participation in ANTUSA and Similar

We as a province had sent delegates and players to this event (ANTUSA) which was held in Durban, South Africa from the 30th of March to the 5th of April, 2015. Last year, we also sent representatives in Botswana for a Cultural Night in Gaborone. We also participated in the 2014 ANTUSA programme hosted in Maseru, Lesotho.
