The province is made up of 16 districts namely Kalabo, Mongu, Kaoma, Lukulu, Senanga, Sesheke, Shangombo, Limulunga, Nalolo, Sioma, Luampa, Nkeyema, Mitete, Sikongo, Mwandi and Mulobezi.

Membership

 

BETUZ in Western Province boasts of a membership of 3265 across all the 16 districts and stand as the largest union in the province.

 

PROGRAMMES

 

+ HIV/AIDS/GBV Sensitization

In this activity, we as BETUZ raise awareness on these issues that have affected our society across the country. Under this we aim to increase information flow to our stakeholder and also alert them on measures that one can take if found victim.

 

+ Recruitment

As BETUZ in Western Province, we have continued to overcome various challenges in recruiting members from all districts. We continue to perform this task even in this new year.

 

+ International Women's Day & Labour Day

We continue to celebrate the power of women in our society as teachers from across the province, thus we attach great importance to this day every year.

 

+ World Teachers Day celebrations

This day falls every year on the 5th of October and celebrated in all 16 districts across the province.

 

+ Participation in ANTUSA

We participated in this year's ANTUSA programme held in Durban, South Africa from the 30th of March to the 5th of April, 2015.
